The GlobalPCF, Inc. Art Department works with your design to make the best possible artwork for your printed plastic cards. There are many parameters that need careful attention and we have many years experience producing quality cards. We work with you to make sure your design is the best it can be BEFORE we begin production of your order. You will see and approve a digital proof of your plastic card layout before any printing will commence.

LOGO IMAGES:
Logos can come to us in the following "standard image formats" (.psd, .jpg, .jpeg, .cdr, .ai, .pdf, .bmp, .wmf, .tif, .eps). You can also mail us a clean print out or hand drawn image that we can scan in and use for making your plastic card design.

SCANNED IMAGES:
Images should be scanned at 600 dpi or greater at a minimum size of 3.6" wide X 2.1" high. Please save scans in CMYK format - high-quality (.psd, .jpg, .jpeg, .pdf)

PREFERRED FORMAT IS A "PDF" FILE
PDF is the preferred format for sending us your art. The PDF files must have the fonts embedded and be of high enough quality for high resolution printing. PDF files should be saved for press as CMYK and setup to be "high quality print" not for "low quality web" delivery.

We do not accept QuarkXpress or Indesign files with your font folders. We will accept files as an EPS where all the text is made into outlines. If submitting an EPS, Please create OUTLINES of ALL TEXT and save as an Adobe Illustrator .EPS file. This will insure that there are no problems imaging your file.

YOU CAN SEND AS A PHOTOSHOP "PSD" FILE
For best results with your Adobe Photoshop file, sending us your original "layered" file is recommended. We also accept flattened TIFF and PSD images, but keep in mind, we will not be able to edit anything on Photoshop artwork files.

SETTING UP BLEED AND TRIM
Image "bleed" is where you want the image to fill a background completely to the edges of the card. The image must extend beyond the trim area so that color will go edge to edge if there is a slight variance in the trim cuts. Image bleed is defined in each template. Please setup your image bleed to the specifications outlined within the template for the plastic card product you are going to be ordering.

Due to cutting tolerances, card designs with a "framed border" are not recommended. A possible slight shift in cutting will cause the printed frame border to appear off center or uneven. It is recommended that you do not place text or image elements too close to the die line where the card will be trimmed. The die lines and safe areas are clearly marked in the templates. Please reference our template layouts, this will make it easy to determine if your art is too close to the edges.

UPLOAD YOUR ART FILES
Rename your artwork to your company name or your last name. For multiple files give each a number. Please upload your files to our server by going to the upload page on this website. Please note: If you need to compress your files, only ZIP FORMAT compression can be accepted.
